Peer-focused guidance

Support From People Who Understand the Journey.

Peer-focused support is built around lived experience, encouragement, practical goal setting, self-advocacy, resource connection, and recovery-oriented guidance.

Understanding peer support

A recovery-oriented relationship grounded in respect.

Peer support is different from clinical care. It may use lived-experience-informed perspective to help a person feel heard, consider options, identify personal goals, strengthen self-advocacy, and connect with community resources.

When peer-centered support is available through Community Connect RI, the scope will be explained clearly. The person receiving support remains in charge of their goals and choices.

Early-launch status: Inquiries are welcome, but availability is not guaranteed. Current scope, fit, and possible next steps are confirmed individually.
