Housing Resources
Help identifying shelter, housing-assistance, supportive-housing, stabilization, or housing-search resources that may be relevant. We do not provide housing or guarantee placement.
Practical resource guidance
Find practical Rhode Island resources and clearer next steps—without needing to know where to begin.
A clearer starting point
Finding help often means dealing with unfamiliar programs, eligibility rules, waitlists, application steps, and organizations that each work differently. It can be hard to know which call to make first.
Resource navigation begins by identifying what matters most right now. From there, we may help organize the questions, information, and potentially relevant resources that could shape the next step.
We do not make decisions for outside agencies, promise admission or placement, or determine whether someone qualifies. We help make the path easier to see.
Areas we may help navigate
These categories describe possible resource areas—not guaranteed programs, openings, or outcomes.
Help identifying shelter, housing-assistance, supportive-housing, stabilization, or housing-search resources that may be relevant. We do not provide housing or guarantee placement.
Help identifying food pantries, meal programs, nutrition-benefit information, and local food-access resources. Outside programs determine hours, availability, and eligibility.
Help exploring public transit, program-based transportation, reduced-fare information, and other potential options connected to appointments, work, or daily needs.
Help identifying where to ask about identification, birth certificates, Social Security cards, and other documents. Issuing agencies control requirements, costs, and processing.
General help locating information about public-benefit programs and possible application starting points. We do not determine eligibility or submit claims as an authorized benefits agency.
Help identifying workforce programs, job-readiness resources, training, career centers, and possible employment supports based on a person’s goals.
Help identifying treatment providers and questions to ask. We do not offer clinical assessment or treatment recommendations, and providers make all admission decisions.
Help exploring peer, mutual-aid, recovery-community, and other non-clinical support options that may align with a person’s preferences.
Help identifying clinics, primary-care resources, enrollment assistance, or other healthcare access points. We do not give medical advice or determine clinical appropriateness.
Help identifying family-resource centers, parenting supports, youth or caregiver programs, and other community-based assistance.
Help exploring local programs, reentry resources, legal-information services, community centers, and other supports connected to stability and participation.
If the need does not fit neatly into a category, an inquiry can still help clarify what kind of organization or resource may be useful to contact.

Important limitations
Community Connect RI may help identify potentially relevant resources based on the information shared. We do not determine clinical appropriateness and do not control outside organizations.
Program availability, eligibility, acceptance, and funding are determined by the individual organizations providing those services. Admission, placement, coverage, and program information may change without notice. Please verify current details directly with the provider.
